Parsec Board Member Bonnie Bogovich will be premiering a new show titled Super Smash Opera this week at MAGFest (Music and Gaming Fest) in DC. Super Smash combines classical opera tunes with popular characters from the Nintendo franchise in a comic production combining live singers, puppets, and costumes. Parody is not new to many members in this group as both Bonnie and her husband Jim Newsome are former performers of the Parallax Play during Confluence, our yearly scifi con, Liz Rishel is one of the co-founders of The Zombie Opera (a Confluence guest in 2010) and Sean Lenheart was involved with Code Monkey: The Musical (a Jonathan Coulton tribute).
