Parsec is holding its first-ever 24-hour Read-A-Thon fundraiser. Be a Reader or be a Sponsor (or be both!) and help us spread the news about Pittsburgh’s long-running Science Fiction/Fantasy/Horror group.
Scheduled from noon Saturday, October 18, 2014 through noon Sunday, October 19, 2014, this group reading session includes food, companionship and awards for our intrepid readers! Join us at Rickert & Beagle Books in Dormont for the *quietest* Parsec Party you’ve ever attended, as we raise funds to support all the good works Parsec brings to you year round: Fun and interesting monthly meetings, Confluence SF Conference, Alpha — the SF/F/H Workshop for Young Writers, Parsec Ink and the newly created YA Author Lecture Series.
You must register by October 15 to be a reader for the Read-A-Thon. We will be handing out fundraiser packets at the annual picnic this Saturday (September 20, 2014).
