Schedule at Randy Hoffman's Livejournal.

Writer's Workshop: 9am Saturday

The 2010 Writer's Workshop is a three-hour activity-intensive session designed to improve one's writing skills. Not talent--skills. Paul Anderson will take steps to show participants common mistakes in the business and in their own writing and ways to stop them. Further, it should be noted that this is not for children. Speaking bluntly sometimes requires vulgarity. Please be advised.

In order to participate in the Confluence 2010 Writer's Workshop, all potential people must submit a sample manuscript in order for Mr. Anderson to determine the level of skill present and what key elements and concepts should and could be taught. Genre--horror, fantasy, sci-fi, romance, etc--is irrelevant. Send the best example of your work.

1. All entries must be in by June 15, 2010.

2. All entries MUST be in standard manuscript format. All entries not in this format will be disregarded as amateur. Be professional and do it right.

3. All entries must be 5,000 words or less. Since the number of participants varies, this is important. If your manuscript is 5,100 words, cut it down. The number is firm.

4. Send submissions and questions to and Mr. Anderson will see you at Confluence.
