A half a century ago the Korean War was getting under way. Senator Joseph McCarthy was saying that the State Department was riddled with communists. Project Blue Book was investigating the increasing appearances of UFO's. The first hydrogen bomb was detonated. It was the dawn of the Cold War.
And out of these turbulent and uncertain times came some of the best science fiction films of all time. Films that set the foundation for all science fiction to come. It also produced some of the worst films that ever had the misfortune to be set to celluloid.
This years video room is a celebration of both the gold and the cheese of that glorious time.
